ABOUT US
The Greenville Model Yacht Club was established to promote Model Sailboat Racing in Upstate South Carolina and Mid-Southern North Carolina. We are located in the Greenville-Spartanburg South Carolina area. We enjoy comradery and the excitement of sailboat racing while teaching young and old sailing and sportsmanship. We are a Sanctioned Club affiliated with the American Model Yacht Club (AMYA #398).
SCHEDULE
GMYC has regularly hosted events featuring radio controlled sailboat races focusing on the Dragon Flite 95 class.

LOCATION
We sail at Lake Cooley in Spartanburg County. The site is close to exit 68 (Wellford) off of Interstate 85, just south of Spartanburg, SC. The Facility is operated by the county and has Rest-Rooms, Pavilions, Play Grounds and great parking. We set buoys on every race day.
